Stone Age artefact
As part of our Stone Age topic, we would like the children to make a Stone Age artefact to bring into school to share with the class. This could be a Stone Age weapon or tool, such as a hammer or a small spear.

Items buried with him might give you some inspiration. Arrowheads could be made from foil, and beakers could be made from salt dough.
The children will have two weeks to complete this homework. Please ensure the artefacts are returned to school by Wednesday 28th March.
Your child has received a worksheet on the homophones ‘are’ and ‘our’. A homophone is a word that sounds the same but is spelt differently and has a different meaning. Please work through the sheet with your child, discussing when to use both ‘our’ and ‘are’.
Your child has received a worksheet on fractions of numbers. We noticed that some children struggled with this in their recent maths test. Please work through the sheet with your child to support their learning in school.
Topic Day reminder
On Tuesday 20th March, Y3 will be having a Stone Age Topic Day, where the children will be taking part in various Stone Age themed activities throughout the day.
We ask that the children come to school dressed as cave men and women! Please do not go out and buy anything new for this day, the children could simply come to school wearing brown clothes.
