Today Reception, KS1 and some KS2 children enjoyed a wonderful day at Harewood House in Leeds.
The day was spent exploring the house and grounds. The children saw farm animals, unusual birds from around the world, the penguins being fed, flamingos feeding in the lake and enjoyed a walk through the mini beast trail!
Everyone enjoyed the splendour of the state rooms inside the house and seeing where the servants lived and worked below stairs.
We had perfect weather, which meant we could sit in the beautiful gardens and have a picnic lunch all together.
After an action packed day we had just enough time for an ice lolly and a play in the adventure playground.
Thank you to all of the children for being great ambassadors for St Marie’s School and to all of our volunteers for their help. What a brilliant way to end a fantastic school year!
