Y2 Homework 15.9.17

Please find this weeks homework attached.

The children have all been assessed on the 60 common exception words for Y2. Please practise the ones that are not highlighted and continue to do this over the coming weeks. We will assess the children's spellings again later in the half term.

Superhero Day = Friday 29th September. We would love all the children to come to school dressed as superheroes.

Any questions or problems please do come and speak to one of the Y2 team.

Many thanks

Miss Healy, Mr Wallace and Miss Ward.

Gold! Gold! Gold!

We've done it again! For the 3rd year running we have been awarded the Gold Mark for our commitment to competitive sport. This is for the sports we play in and out of school. A big thanks to everyone who supports us in being able to take part in lots of sporting events. Thanks to our children too who just love playing all kinds of sports!

Did you know that every child in KS2 has participated in a sporting event this year?

What a great end to Sports Week!

At the end of today we had a Sports Week assembly to think about everything we had done during the week and to celebrate our recent sporting achievements across the school. We thought about how doing the different activities made us feel (the most popular words were 'it was fun'). Children at St. Marie's have thrown themselves into everything this week. We especially have loved seeing the 'have a go' attitude. As our final activity the whole school had a zumba session to the song (it had to be this one to finish off our week) 'I like to move it, move it'

Fitness Fun on Friday

Today we had Miss Mowatt from Links in to work with all the children. She had created fitness stations for the children to complete. The children were practising their running, agility, balance, coordination skills as well as having fun at the same time. Have a look at the photos to see for yourself.
