On Wednesday Rachel Mowatt came in to do some Boxercise with the children. It was great fun using the gloves and pads and what a workout it was too!!

Skipping in the sunshine

On Thursday the weather was ideal for some skipping in the sun. Long skipping ropes were out in both playgrounds. Look how high the children can jump over the rope!

New Age Kurling and Boccia

On Thursday we played New age kurling and Boccia. The children learned more about how to play these inclusive sports that are played at the Paralympics. These sports relied on the children developing the skills of accuracy. They learned quickly that having more power and speed didn't always work. The children needed to think about how they would get the ball or the stone closest to the target. The children also had learned that sometimes you need to knock an opponents ball or stone out of the way. Look at the concentration on the faces of the children playing.

KS1 Sports Day

On Wednesday Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 went to All Saints Goals to take part in sports day. They competed in their house teams to earn points. The children had to run, jump, throw, balance, work as a team, kurl and skip throughout the day. All the children competed in a class race too. After all of this we found out that Eyam are our KS1 Winners!! Well done to all of the children and to all that came to support too.A special thanks to the volunteers from All Saints and our other volunteers for helping too!
