Some of the Year 5 and Year 6 children had the opportunity to partner with Notre Dame students and play rounders today. Despite the rainy weather, the children had a really fun and enjoyable time. The Notre Dame students and staff also delivered some coaching and reminded the children of all the obscure rules of rounders!
Well done to the Year 6 Catholic Cup team!
After 3 group stage games the Year 6's had won all 3 games, including an emphatic 2-0 win over St Wilfrids! Unfortunately, the last 3 games were just too much for the team and we failed to quailfy by a point. I'd like to say a big well done to the children and hope they continue to play more football as they go up to Notre Dame.
A huge thank you to everyone who made our summer fair such a huge success. I would like to pass my sincere thanks to the HSA for the organisation of today and all their hard work. Thanks also goes to all the volunteers and every member of staff who generously gave up their time to make today’s fair a memorable one. Of course, thanks go to all the families, friends and especially the children for supporting the event. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did (when I wasn’t in the stocks!). Please check out the gallery photos below.
On Friday our Y3/Y4 boys football team travelled to Springs Academy to take part in a football festival as part of the Euro 2016 competition.
The team played Nether Edge, Manor Lodge and St Wilfrids. They won all their games and scored 12 goals without conceding a goal! Well done to Christian, Paddy, Josh, Luke, Rhomani, Kermali, Harvey and Aaron for a fantastic team performance.
We are pleased to announce that we have been awarded the Gold Sportsmark for the second year running. Did you know that 183% of our children in KS2 take part in extra curricular sporting activities? Yes that's because so many of our children take part! Thanks to all the children, staff and parents who make our school such a wonderfully sporting place!! #getinspired
