Y5 Trip to Yorkshire Wildlife Park

On Thursday, Y5 visited the Yorkshire Wildlife Park in Doncaster. The children ventured around the park and got to see a vast array of animals from the majestic but scary Siberian Tiger to the cute and cuddly Himalayan Red Panda!

Before lunch the Y5s looked at different rainforest layers and discussed which animals are found there. They got the chance to handle animal bones, as well as petting a live corn snake and a hissing cockroach!

Since it was a sunny day, the children had their packed lunches on a grassy verge in view of a hungry herd of Bactrian camels! After lunch Y5 explored the rest of the park and finished the day with a browse of the gift shop.
