On Tuesday morning, the Year 5 children visited the Millennium Gallery in town for an art workshop. We explored the Ruskin and metalwork galleries, sketching nature-inspired patterns and prints, and then each created our own design on a special printing block in the activity room. We got very messy, inking and printing our blocks on a huge fabric banner, before having a lovely picnic lunch in the Winter Gardens. We're looking forward to getting our nature-themed block printed banner posted to us as soon as the ink is dry!
