This week Year 1 have been looking at weaving as part of our art topic. We have looked at the work of Annie Albers who is a famous textile artist. We saw how she uses weaving with looms to make her textile art. We decided to have a go at making our own. We made our own looms using sticks and wool. We then needed to go foraging for some natural materials to weave. Finally we wove our natural materials onto our looms. We have made an outdoor art exhibition outside our classroom.
